Christopher Drexler

Siemens Healthineers
Christopher Drexler is Principal Key Expert for Software Ecosystems and certified Senior Software Architect with 16 years of experience as a software architect within Siemens in the Healthcare and Industry sectors. For two years, Chris has been working as a Continuous Integration and Deployment Architect for the "Computed Tomography" business unit at Siemens Healthineers. As such he drives the introduction of Sec-/DevOps concepts to improve the customer value creation chain for large scale medical devices.

With a background in computer image processing he started 2003 at Siemens developing medical image processing algorithms. In the subsequent 10 years, Chris developed several medical device and departmental IT products for the interventional radiography business unit "Angiography & X-Ray" as department head and lead architect. Five years at Siemens Corporate Technology as Principal Key Expert for Product Line Engineering and Software Ecosystems allowed him to combine research activities with gaining broad expertise across the Power (HVDC), Mobility (traffic management systems), and Industry (machine tool management) divisions acting as consultant and chief architect before moving back to the Healthcare sector.

In his spare-time he loves playing board games and doing "maker stuff" with his three kids, maintaining the ever growing family IT infrastructure, programming, and building stuff with Linux, RasPi, and Arduino. The general fitness factor is covered by going for cycling and mountain bike tours and his Labrador makes sure that he gets even more fresh air every day (independent of any weather condition).
